Uniting for Awareness and Understanding for Migraine and Headache Patients
Migraine and Headache Awareness Month (June) is a time to recognize the millions of individuals living with migraine, cluster headache, and other headache disorders—and to reaffirm our commitment to this resilient and often-overlooked community.
Our work extends beyond developing treatments—we are dedicated to empowering patients, caregivers, healthcare providers, and advocates to drive change and build greater awareness. Migraine and cluster headaches are complex neurological diseases that can severely impact quality of life. We believe every person deserves understanding, access to care, and a sense of hope.
This June, we are proud to support the community through meaningful actions:
- Flags for Headache National Mall Installation – Led by the Alliance for Headache Disorders Advocacy (AHDA) and the Headache Alliance, we sponsored the first National Mall Installation project, to raise awareness for migraine and headache disorders. This installation featured thousands of purple flags representing individuals affected by these conditions and American flags honoring military families and veterans who suffer from headache disorders. The installation was a call to action for a national plan to address the crisis of migraine and headache disorders in the United States with an introduction of the HEADACHE Act. - Hosted a Lunch & Learn – Featuring Dr. Thomas Berk, Medical Director at Amneal and headache specialist, alongside patient advocate and cluster headache warrior Bob Wold, Founder and Executive Director of Clusterbusters to bring forward lived experiences and clinical insights.
- Strides for Headache 5k – U.S. teams across Amneal participated in a 5k walk/run. From June 6–13th, we walked, ran, and moved together to shine a light on those suffering from cluster headaches and other headache disorders. A $5,000 donation was to Clusterbusters as part of this internal initiative. To learn more about cluster headache, visit Clusterbusters.org.
- Shades for Migraine – On June 21, Amneal employees wore sunglasses in support of #ShadesForMigraine—a global campaign to raise awareness for people affected and living with migraine disease. A $5,000 donation was given to the Association of Migraine Disorders as part of this initiative. To learn more, visit ShadesforMigraine.org.
We remain steadfast in our mission to raise awareness, expand access, and elevate the voices of those living with these challenging conditions.
